In the wake of the milestone, Gama Aviation has expansion in its future, with one new FBO and hangar facility planned at Sharjah International Airport and a second in Jersey in the Channel Islands. Sharjah International Airport is strategically placed for private and business aviation clients to access Dubai International Airport where slots are limited, while the current Jersey FBO saw 6,000 business jet movements over the year. Gama Aviation also has an FBO in Glasgow, which recorded 20 per cent more movement in 2024.
“The record-breaking performance of our Sharjah FBO underscores its growing importance as a high-quality alternative to Dubai,” said Tom Murphy, Managing Director of Gama Aviation’s FBO Services. “With its strategic location, operational efficiency, and premium services, Sharjah is proving to be a critical solution for the region’s aviation capacity challenges. This success provides the perfect momentum as we prepare to launch our new FBO and hangar facility in 2025, further elevating the private aviation experience.”
The new FBO’s will feature passenger lounges, advanced maintenance capabilities, and sustainable design elements, with increased capacity for larger aircraft and further service offerings.
