Developed by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC), IS-BAH is the global standard for business aircraft ground handling operations. The registration recognises organisations that demonstrate the highest levels of operational safety, risk management, standardised procedures, and continuous improvement.
Rudy Scholaert, Airside Ground Operations & Maintenance SVP of Execaire Aviation, said: “This achievement is a testament to the dedication, professionalism, and commitment of our Ottawa team. Safety has always been the foundation of everything we do. Achieving IS-BAH Registration further reinforces our commitment to delivering the highest standard of service while providing our customers with the confidence that every aspect of their ground handling experience is supported by globally recognised best practices.”
The Ottawa registration marks the first step in a broader initiative to implement IS-BAH across all Execaire Aviation FBO locations. Execaire Aviation is committed to extending IS-BAH registration across all of its Canadian FBOs over the course of this year, further strengthening its promise to deliver industry-leading safety, consistency, and exceptional customer service wherever it operates.
The IS-BAH is recognised by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in the 2026-2028 Global Aviation Safety Plan (GASP). It establishes best practices for business aircraft ground handling organisations through comprehensive safety management systems, risk management processes, operational procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
IS-BAH registration provides operators and customers with the assurance that ground handling services are delivered in accordance with internationally accepted standards for safety and operational excellence.
“This milestone reflects our long-term vision of continuously raising the bar for business aviation in Canada,” added Scholaert. “Congratulations to our Ottawa team for setting a new benchmark for operational excellence and helping position Execaire Aviation at the forefront of our industry.”
