The airline will serve Cape Verde located on the west coast of Africa from its London Gatwick hub with the first flight set to take off on 31 March 2025. The service will be operated three times a week throughout the summer season, with Ali Gayward, easyJet UK Country Manager describing the link to Cape Verde as a “milestone route for easyJet as our first ever sub-Saharan service.”
The airline’s newly announced summer 2025 schedule also includes 21 new routes from 10 UK airports. In addition to Cape Verde, flights will also be offered to Rimini in Italy as another new destination for the airline. easyJet is also looking to grow its network from London Luton with flights to the Andalusian capital Almeria in Spain and Funchal in Madeira. The airline will also serve Leeds Bradford with two new Spanish routes to Malaga and Palma, while five new routes are on sale from Manchester to Izmir, Kalamata, Larnaca, Madrid and Rome. Meanwhile, its base at Birmingham also continues to grow with new services to Gran Canaria and Malta. Passengers flying from Scotland will also benefit from greater choice with new flights to North African destinations of Enfidha in Tunisia and Marrakech from Edinburgh for the first time next summer. Glasgow will also see the addition of Antalya in Turkey and Reus in Spain to its easyJet destination network, while Belfast will benefit from a twice weekly service to Reus.
