Sweden-based Dala Airport, also known as Borlänge Airport, has partnered with Ink Innovation to directly supply its Departure Control System (Ink DCS), which has been in use at the airport since 2016 but provided by Dala Flyget, a ground handling company.
Now the airport and Ink will work together under a direct agreement, which will allow more flexibility for the development of the services over time.
“We have worked with Ink for many years and have always received excellent, timely support,” said Lucy Goodfellow, Training Coordinator, Dala Airport. “We look forward to continuing that same standard of excellence through the new partnership between Ink and Dala Airport.”
The platform is a cloud-based solution that is used by agents for passenger check-in, document checks, seat assignment, baggage acceptance, and boarding, with an emphasis on seamless and fast training for staff. The future of the partnership may include the implementation of additional Ink tools, such as mobile devices for agents.
Dala Airport serves the Dalarna region in central Sweden and handled over 15,300 passengers in 2024.
