Flynqy partners with Aerobility at Cornwall Airport Newquay
Flynqy Pilot Training – a flight training school based at Cornwall Airport Newquay has partnered with UK charity Aerobility to help make aviation more accessible across the southwest of England.

“Making aviation more inclusive is an essential part of our ongoing commitment to accessibility, and we’re excited to support a project that brings real change and opportunity to people living with disabilities in Cornwall and the southwest. This collaboration will help build a more inclusive future for general aviation in the region and reflects our broader efforts to ensure that the airport serves every member of our community.”
While the region has limited access to adapted aviation opportunities for those with disabilities, the airport is now positioned to become a hub for accessible flight training, trial flights and aviation experiences for the southwest’s disabled community.
In line with the partnership, Flynqy Pilot Training is currently introducing adaptations to its aircraft with accessibility modifications tailored for those with limb differences and reduce mobility.

The team will also undergo specialist training in the use of hoisting equipment, ensuring safe and dignified access to aircraft for individuals who require assistance.
Describing Aerobility as an “inspiring and passionate charity dedicated to making a difference to the lives of people living with disabilities,” Zara Dinnacombe and George Weller, Directors at Flynqy Pilot Training said the collaboration will transform aviation opportunities ensuring they are adaptive and inclusive to everyone in the community.
Cornwall Airport Newquay is the fourth facility in the UK to offer accessible aviation services in collaboration with Aerobility. It joins Tatenhill Airfield, Blackbushe Airport and Lydd Airport in doing so.
The airport won the Small Airport category at the AirportsUK Health and Safety Awards 2024 and is focused on customer convenience and safety. As a hub for regional connectivity, Cornwall Airport Newquay is committed to ensuring accessibility to the wider UK and beyond.
