Air charger specialist, Chapman Freeborn, is working closely with Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) to conduct site visits at multiple Italian airports for their ability to manage oversized cargo.
OSRL – a global oil and gas industry cooperative that provides preparedness and response solutions for oil spills – has been partnering with Chapman Freeborn for multiple years. The air charger broker provides consultancy and support in transporting outsized cargo used for oil spill emergency response, including equipment and spare parts.
The in-person tours conducted by both companies included multiple airport inspections to review each facility’s capacity for handling outsized cargo. Milan Malpensa, Brescia, Venice Marco Polo and Trieste were all included in the inspections.
OSRL’s storage facility in Trieste where the company maintains its one-of-a-kind Offset Installation Equipment (OIE) system used in subsea blowouts was also included in the inspection tour.
Air cargo is crucial for the rapid transportation of critical parts and components used in OIE operations.
