German carrier Lufthansa is adding two new destinations in the Canary Islands to its schedule this autumn. Both Tenerife and Gran Canaria will be added to the airline’s network just in time for the German autumn holidays.
In a statement issued on 23 July, the German flag carrier stated that it would begin operating twice-weekly flights from Frankfurt to Tenerife South and Gran Canaria as of October. The services will operated on an Airbus A320 aircraft and flown on Saturdays and Sundays to both destinations.
Offering the perfect autum and winter escape the Canary Islands offer ideal climatic conditions throughout the year and a range of tourist attractions, beautiful beaches and idyllic mountain villages.
