BA Cityflyer, the regional subsidiary of British Airways, has launched a new direct seasonal service linking Glasgow with San Sebastián in northern Spain. The route, which operates twice weekly, began on 18 July and will run until 8 September 2026.
The addition gives Scottish travellers direct access to one of Spain’s most popular summer destinations. San Sebastián is known for its La Concha beach, historic Old Town and internationally recognised culinary scene, making it a strong fit for leisure demand during the peak season.
Flights operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays, providing a short season connection designed to complement Glasgow Airport’s wider summer schedule.
Ian Romanis, Managing Director of BA Cityflyer, said the new link offers “more choice and convenience” for customers travelling from Scotland, noting the city’s appeal for visitors interested in the Basque region’s coastline, culture and food.
Glasgow Airport’s Managing Director, Gavin Birch Williams, said the service strengthens the airport’s summer network and broadens options for holidaymakers across Scotland.
The San Sebastián launch follows BA Cityflyer’s introduction of a Palma service from Glasgow earlier in the season, further expanding the carrier’s leisure offering from the airport.
