A new supply terminal in Linden, New Jersey, marks the expansion of Avfuel’s SAF availability for the East Coast, in addition to supply points in Pasadena, Texas, and Port Everglades, Florida, which all entered operations in January 2025.
The Linden supply will be focused on business aviation operators, with Heritage Aviation, Avfuel’s branded FBO partner in Burlington, Vermont, committing to a consist supply of SAF. The first delivery is expected for early February.
“We have high expectations for SAF volumes in 2025,” said C.R. Sincock, Avfuel’s executive vice president. “These new supply points are integral to meeting or exceeding those expectations. No longer is SAF landlocked in the West. With the addition of these terminals—particularly those in New Jersey and Florida—we’ve vastly expanded our supply chain infrastructure to significantly enhance SAF’s accessibility.”
The expansions stem from partnerships with Valero Marketing and Supply Company and Neste, a SAF producer based in California. The SAF supply at Linden, Port Everglades, and Pasadena, is made using lipids including used cooking oil, with a target percentage of 30 per cent neat SAF estimated to lower lifecycle GHG emissions by up to 24 per cent in comparison to standard jet fuel.
