Luxair has re-launched a direct link between Antwerp and London City. The route is the first direct connection between the cities to continue post-pandemic.

The airline will operate the one-hour flight on a 78-seat De Havilland Dash DHC-8-Q400 aircraft at an initial four times per week, increasing to five times weekly from April.

The re-introduction of the route follows London City’s plans to further investments, including the installation of security scanners on all lanes as well as a £12 million upgrade for the airport’s departures area. The upgraded facilities will offer more restaurants, an expanded Duty-Free and more seats for customers.

Anne Doyere, Director of Aviation, London City Airport, looks forward to expanding the airport’s European routes in the future: “The pandemic eroded some of London’s direct connections to European cities and we believe restarting them will not only be good for passengers, but for business and the economy too.”
