Croatia Control Simulator

New Zealand-based Airways International, which provides air traffic management training and services, has completed delivery of a TotalControl 17-screen tower simulator for Croatian air navigation services provider (ANSP) Croatia Control.

The 279-degree simulator is now ready for use by Croatian air traffic controllers during training exercises. It features leading-edge TrueView graphics technology which provides an unparalleled life-like tower experience. The simulator includes two controller positions, two simulator pilot positions, an instructor position and data preparation/ testing positions. As part of solution, 10 aerodromes have been developed simulating Croatian airports where air traffic controllers operate.

Congratulating Croatia Control on the commissioning of its TotalControl simulation solution, Airways International CEO, Sharon Cooke said: “We’re proud to be enhancing their ATC training capabilities through provision of an immersive simulated learning environment.”

As part of the installation process, Airways International hosted a group from Croatia Control at its facilities in Christchurch, while TotalControl simulation experts also travelled to Croatia for site acceptance testing.
