Airlink

With borders reopening and travel restrictions easing in southern Africa, Airlink is resuming services beyond South Africa to Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia and Mozambique.

The airline’s re-introduced regional flight schedule will be phased in from 5 October. It will enable travellers to combine their local and regional flights from key cities such as Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, East London, Bloemfontein, and Nelspruit to regional hubs including Harare, Lusaka and Maputo.

A daily mid-morning service between Johannesburg and Harare will be the first to resume on 5 October. This link will provide passengers with seamless connectivity on Airlink between Johannesburg and Cape Town, as well as local routes such as Port Elizabeth, east London and others.

On 12 October a new route between Johannesburg and Maputo will operate twice a week, also providing convenient onward connections for passengers. Regular services will also be introduced from Johannesburg to Bulawayo, Walvis Bay, Ndola, Lusaka, Pemba Northern Mozambique, Beira and Tete, as well as Cape Town and Windhoek.

Additional Airlink services throughout the region are also expected to be confirmed soon. All travellers to South Africa must provide a negative Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test certificate obtained not more than 72 hours before the date of travel from an accredited laboratory and in line with WHO requirements.
