AirportsUK

The UK airport trade body, formerly known as the Airport Operators Association (AOA), has officially adopted the new trading name of AirportsUK and unveiled its rebranding in line with the renaming. The unveiling comes as part of the organisation’s 90th anniversary year and follows the announcement in March this year.

Commenting on the new logo and name change and how it better reflects the organisation’s commitment to support the UK’s airport community, Karen Dee, AirportUK’s Chief Executive said:

“We are delighted to be able to unveil this new brand, which is something the whole organisation and our membership are excited to be a part of.

“It comes at a time when airports and aviation more generally are working hard to deliver sustainable growth, to reduce their impacts on communities and to be seen as the positive drivers of economic prosperity they are.

“We hope that people will see that in our new logo and name, that airports are facing the future and contributing to all our lives in a clear, optimistic way.”

In addition to its name change and new logo, AirportsUK has also launched an up-to-date website, www.airportsuk.org, which it says, will play a key role in communicating all the work AirportsUK undertakes on behalf of its membership and to the public, to deliver a stable, sustainable and affordable aviation sector.
