Air Astana, the flag carrier of Kazakhstan, has resumed services from Nur-Sultan Airport, with international flights to Dubai and Moscow and domestic flights to Atyrau, Shymkent and Turkestan.

Additional international services to Frankfurt and Kutaisi (Georgia) also resumed on 8 January, and to Istanbul on 9 January.

Almaty Airport remains closed in the wake of recent events, but all Air Astana staff and passengers from the city remain safe.
