The deal is expected to complete in Q1 2025 for an enterprise value of GBP 1.53 billion. Serving large and growing regions in the UK, the three airports are being acquired from Ferrovial and Macquarie. The latter also owns Farnborough Airport in Hampshire.
The wholly-owned airports division of the Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP Investments) one of Canada’s largest pension investors, AviAlliance was founded in 1997 before being acquired by PSP Investments in 2013. Its existing portfolio of four airports includes Athens (Greece), Dusseldorf and Hamburg (Germany) and San Juan (Puerto Rico), which combined served 73 million passengers in 2023.
